Consent Awareness Network
Clean support. Clear boundaries.
Integrity is at the heart of my work. This includes acknowledging the power differentials inherent in any mentoring relationship, and working actively to ensure that power is used appropriately. I will never ask you to give your autonomy away. I support self-reflection, ethics training, peer support and continued evolution for all teachers and coaches.
What does integrity me for me?
As a mentor spiritual teacher, I commit to:
- Empowering you.
- Living what I teach.
- Upholding the standards of mutual respect, compassion and safety.
- Being honest about my scope and referring when appropriate.
- Remaining open to questions, to being wrong, and to my own growth.
As a client, I ask you to commit to:
- Showing up for yourself.
- Ensuring you are clear on the basis of our work together.
- Upholding the standards of mutual respect, compassion and safety.
- Being honest about what support you need.
- Never holding back from questioning, challenging or raising concerns.

#FGKIA consent
What is consent?
As defined by the Consent Awareness Network (CAN): Consent is a special type of agreement, made by someone with capacity.
CAN uses the hashtag #FGKIA, to express that consent must be:
- Freely Given: that you consent without coercion, pressure or bullying
- Knowledgeable: that you understand what it is that you are agreeing to
- Informed: that you have been given the facts, not lies or misrepresentation
- Agreement: that you say “yes” on this basis
This applies to any situation, including mentoring, spiritual guidance, joining a coaching programme, and more. Consent forms a moral basis for offering these services.
